Visiting schools across North Devon
One of the best bits of being an MP is getting to visit our fabulous schools here in North Devon.
Selaine is also happy to visit schools throughout the constituency, please get in touch if you wish to arrange one. Visits are a good opportunity for students and teachers to talk to their MP about issues, as well as for Selaine to see the school at work.
This page is to showcase some of the fantastic school visits to our North Devon schools which are always a great way to offer students political education from a young age.
If you would like arrange a visit from Selaine, please do get in touch at [email protected]

Witheridge C of E Primary Academy - November 2021
My most recent School visit was to Witheridge Church of England In November.
I got to meet the School Council, who had been working very hard building the Houses of Parliament out of cardboard boxes (I have recommended them to the Restoration and Renewal team in Westminster), made lovely Big Ben biscuits, and wanted posters to complete their learning on Guy Fawkes! Not to mention their fantastic, and very well constructed and written letters about their concerns regarding climate change.
We spoke about COP26, the upcoming Environment Bill, and the logistics and challenges of being an MP – as always the younger generation ask just the best questions – it was a privilege and pleasure to be back in a classroom – thank you to the whole team, and all the students who made it such a fabulous visit.
